These five Utah Jazz players have the most to prove this season.

Like any NBA team, the Utah Jazz have questions that need to be answered when the regular season begins. That’s not a new thing, and it happens to every NBA team as each new season begins. For the 2023-2024 version of the Jazz, the questions surround some players; players who are vital to the team’s success.

Players with something to prove.

Sure, we can sit down and talk about the pressure that is on the trio of rookies or whether someone like Luka Samanic or Simone Fontecchio is meant for bigger roles, but we’re not going to be going there. Every team has players who warrant those questions, but the Jazz seem to be in a unique place where every one of their best players has some sort of lingering question that has to be answered.

And while that may not be a wholly unique thing for the Jazz, they’re certainly in a rare space. After all, how many teams are debating if arguably their two best players are worth new contracts? How many teams have as many expiring and/or tradeable pieces on their roster?

How many teams are just as much of a threat to go out and trade for an All-NBA caliber player like Zach LaVine, while also, in the same breath, are just as likely to trade away their franchise player Lauri Markkanen?

Not many, and it’s because of that reason that the Jazz are truly one of, if not the most unique teams in the NBA. So these are the five players with the most to prove this season.
