The Utah Jazz are finished with the preseason, but when does the regular season start?

The Utah Jazz have finished the preseason and seem to have a direction heading into the regular season. The squad finished 3-2 in the preseason, not that the record matters, and looked a lot better as the preseason came to a close. The team struggled a bit, especially in the 2nd game of the preseason, a rematch against the Los Angeles Clippers, but since then the team has rebounded well.

And to be fair, while the second Clippers game was a mess, they only lost by five. Their other loss, to the Sacramento Kings, was by three. They really only lost two games by four points each, so it’s not like they were blown out.

The preseason doesn’t matter though, the regular season does. So it’s important to not put a lot of stock in the preseason figures; for better or for worse. As players will have great and terrible games alike, and neither may represent where that player is going to be as the season starts.

So if the preseason doesn’t matter, what does? Well, the regular season, obviously.

And the regular season is almost here. The Jazz’s regular season opener is only days away, as the Jazz will once again be taking on the Sacramento Kings, but this time in a game that matters. The Jazz and Kings will clash again on Wednesday, Oct. 25, in what will mark the start of the regular season for both teams.
