The Utah Jazz’s new jerseys are a thing of beauty.

It’s very clear and easy to see that the NBA does uniforms better than anyone else. They’ve always been at the front of the conversation involving fashion in sports, and due to that, the love affair of basketball sneakers, uniforms, and other assorted merchandise has been a huge driving component for the league. And few teams do it better than the Utah Jazz

No longer limited to just home and away colors, most if not all teams will roll out five jerseys next season; dubbed Association (standard home), Icon (standard away), statement (alternate), classic (throwback to an old style) and city (limited time use). And through this new five-tier system, the Jazz have delivered some of the best-looking jerseys we’ve seen.

And in 2023-2024, that won’t change. While we saw a hint of this last year, and while the city jerseys haven’t officially been unveiled yet, we now know what the new city jerseys for the Jazz are going to look like and they are incredible.

In the tweet above, you can see that the city edition jersey is a take on the iconic 1990s jersey’s that the Jazz wore during their run to back-to-back NBA Finals appearances. The big difference, however, is the change in colors.

The original version of the jerseys had what looked to be orange in the shadowing of the team’s name, and a similar color outlining the numbers that used to be near the left hip of the player. These new jerseys feature greys, and purples mainly, with the “Utah” portion having a white outline, and he numbers being just plain white.

The iconic mountain logo is a bit higher on the chest it appears, smaller, allowing for the numbers to be higher than the original but still in a similar space.

They look great and are a perfect reflection of “old meets new”.
