Danilo Gallinari
Landing Danilo Callinari would be a great move for the Utah Jazz. Yes, he’s 35, but he’s still a good enough player that he could add an effective scoring option for the Jazz. While the Jazz don’t need another score-first forward, if the Jazz end up making some trades at some point to bring in a major name, or just to unburden the roster, then they could make a move for Gallinari.
Currently, the Italian superstar is on the Washington Wizards, and the team is not going to keep him around for long. They’re in a full-blown rebuild and have already dealt their biggest players Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis.
Bela is now in Phoenix with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, while Porzingis is with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in Boston. There’s no reason for the Wizards to keep Gallinari, and if a team comes in with a good offer, the Wizards will be motivated to move him.
Now the Jazz landing him will determine firstly, how good his shot is falling this year, and secondly, how effective the team has been at trying to make the playoffs. If they’re in the top six in the Western Conference, it stands to reason that the team would make a move for the Italian icon.
