One of the Utah Jazz’s newest players, rookie Brice Sesabaugh, wants to see big things for his new team.

The Utah Jazz picked up three promising young rookies in the 2023-2024 NBA Draft. The team picked up two forwards and a guard, with Taylor Hendricks being the team’s first pick. A forward out of UCF, he has promised to maybe make someone like John Collins expendable. Then there’s Keyonte George, a dynamic guard who showed off in the NBA Summer League. Lastly is Brice Sensabaugh, arguably the player with the most to prove.

Sensabaugh is coming in off of an injured knee that required surgery and due to that, is someone that wants to get in and prove his worth. He’s someone who may push for time in the rotation if he’s healthy, assuming his three-pointer hits the mark in the pros.

He’s a guy the Jazz have high hopes for, believing he could be a part of the team’s return to the postseason. While they did miss out on the playoffs last year, the Jazz are poised to return after just one year away from postseason action.

And that action is something Sensabaugh really wants to see for his team. See, Sensabaugh is coming into his first year as an NBA professional with lofty expectations for the team. After watching George and his Jazz teammates play in the Summer League and its subsequent four-team, three-game playoff, Sensabaugh wants to see the real thing, telling Sports Illustrated’s Frozen Rope;

"A playoff game at home in front of the Jazz fans. Because even like the summer league game where we started coming back the first game — it was loud. So like in the playoffs, I can’t even imagine, just like the energy and the environment. I want to get to the playoffs for sure."

The Jazz are in a good place to be able to give Sensabuagh his wish, but they may be a move away from that happening this season.

Next. 3 interesting but not great trade proposals for the Utah Jazz. dark
