Kemba Walker

Talking about potential starters, the only one that seems reliable or doable, compared to who is still available that is, would be Kemba Walker. Walker is past his glory days and his knees aren’t great, but he did put on a performance in Dallas for a few games anyway.

As with John Wall, Walker isn’t coming in to back up anyone. He’s an emergency option for guys like Collin Sexton and Keyonte George struggle. He’s not the passer Wall is, but he’s still got good enough vision to lead an offense.

Matt Dellavedova

If you’re looking for a pass-first option, that’s Matthew Dellavedova. Not only is he a good passer, but he’s a great hustle player. You can beat him when he’s on defense, but he’ll keep coming after you until you get tired. He’s a terrible offensive weapon, however. Dellavedova would help give the Jazz depth and versatility at the position but if you’re starting him at this point in his career, something has gone terribly wrong. He’s only an option if there are injuries and a guy like Kirs Dunn gets traded, or is released.

Otherwise, there’s no real reason to bring him in. That said, he has a championship pedigree, so he may provide something as a player coach.
