John Wall

Of all the names we’ve talked about so far, John Wall seems like the most likely to come in and provide what the Jazz truly needs. He’s an effective passer still, and while he lacks any true jumper that the Jazz have in other players, his all-around skills as a passer and a defender make him a more stable option compared to others already on the roster. His arrival would likely lead to Kris Dunn or someone of that ilk getting let go, so maybe Wall only gets brought in if and when it becomes obvious that Dunn isn’t the guy.

Goran Dragic

It’s hard to say that Goran Dragic is a starter anymore, he’s clearly not. But he’s not Wall in that regard. You’re bringing in Wall to start, you’re bringing in Dragic to stabilize the position should the team need depth and a veteran voice in the locker room. He’s also still got some skills that would be advantageous for the team, namely his ability to pull up and shoot from anywhere on the court. He’s not as quick as he once was, but in the right offense, with the right co-stars, he can still be an effective player for 15 or 20 minutes a game.
