3. Johnny Juzang

Johnny Juzang didn’t play all eight games like Colbey Ross, but what he did in the six games he did play was impressive. After missing two games in Salt Lake, Juzang made sure to play hard across the four games he did play during Las Vegas.

Across all six games in both leagues, Juzang averaged 15.8 points, 3.83 rebounds, and 2.67 assists per game. That’s not a bad stat line for six games, but what made Juzang stand out, and why he got another two-way contract from the Utah Jazz, is because of his shooting splits.

Juzang could not miss, and he was a huge reason why the Jazz went 4-0 in Vegas with him getting minutes. He had some of the best shooting splits of the summer, hitting 51% from the floor, and 51.5% from three. Because he took so many jump shots, he didn’t get a lot of free-throw attempts, just 2.6 per game, so his free throw percentage is a bit misleading with just 62.5% from the line.

Despite a lackluster free throw percentage, seeing him hit 50% from three regularly was impressive and it was the major reason why the Jazz wanted to bring him back for the 2023-2024 season while on a two-way deal.

Few guys were as good as Juzang this summer.
