Josh Okogie

In his five seasons in the NBA, Josh Okogie has flashed the potential to develop into a player who plays a meaningful role for a team. That continued to be the case this past season with the Phoenix Suns. Even though he didn’t end up having a great showing in the playoffs for the Suns, he is coming off a season in which he averaged seven points and four rebounds in a somewhat limited role.

At 24 years old, it would be foolish to say that he’s played the best basketball of his career in the NBA. That’s why I believe the Jazz are a team that should take a flier on a player who has shown he can be a productive player, and perhaps he just needs one final developmental push to get him to a more consistent role.

Who knows if Okogie ever emerges as a sixth man, a seventh man, or even a starter in this league, but he has the tools that prove he can be a piece of a much bigger puzzle. Perhaps the Jazz will give him that support staff (as a rebuilding team) and the opportunity to prove it. Nonetheless, Okogie has shown glimpses that would be inticing to take a shot in the dark at the young talent.
