Hamidou Diallo

Over the past three seasons, Hamidou Diallo has been one of the more consistent young players in the league that no one seems to care about. He’s not a star player by any means, but he has the potential to be a really good role player for the team moving forward. But he has to be given the opportunity and the necessary support staff to thrive in such a role.

As an unrestricted free agent, it would be a bit premature to suggest that he will be 100 percent re-signed by the Detroit Pistons. Especially considering he’s another young player whose role with his team has diminished consistently over the last couple of seasons. With perhaps other priorities on the roster, Diallo is a player that could be available for the rebuilding Jazz this offseason.

At 24 years old, Diallo is coming off a season in which he averaged nine points and four rebounds on 57 percent shooting from the field. The Jazz could offer value for Diallo at this point in his career. And, quite frankly, they could be a good pairing for each other.

Diallo would get an opportunity to continue to develop in Utah, while the Jazz would get another young player that they could see blossom in their system
