Darius Bazley

Throughout the first few years of his career, Darius Bazley has struggled to find an NBA home. After what could be described as a promising first three seasons of his career, his future is very much in question after being traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder this past year.

During his sophomore season in the league, Bazley averaged 14 points and seven rebounds per game for the Thunder. It seemed as if he was a promising young player who was only going to get better. However, in the two years after that, Bazley’s role with the Thunder quickly disappeared. So much so that he was traded to the Phoenix Suns at this past year’s NBA trade deadline.

As you would expect, he didn’t see the floor much in Phoenix and could likely be on the move again this offseason as he hits the restricted free-agent market. He could be the exact player the Jazz should be willing to take a flier on. He’s young (22 years old), an athlete, and still has the potential to blossom into a productive player in the NBA.

Considering he’s going to be quite cheap, the Jazz should absolutely explore the possibility of signing Bazley this offseason.
