Deandre Ayton, Phoenix Suns

If there’s one big name that many believe will be on the move this offseason, most would say it’s going to be Deandre Ayton. Even after the Phoenix Suns matched the offer sheet that he signed with the Indiana Pacers last offseason, it never felt as if Ayton was going to be a long-term fixture on the Suns. One season later, it’s almost a foregone conclusion that he’ll be traded.

Assuming the Suns do end up moving Ayton, the Utah Jazz are a team that should express interest. He could make for an interesting combo with Lauri Markkenen and could help this team as they look for some added stability. There are many limitations that Ayton has, but he’s one of the most talented young bigs in the game.

Despite the negative narrative that continues to follow him in Phoenix, fair or not, Ayton is coming off a season in which he averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds on 59 percent shooting from the field. There’s an argument to be made that what Ayton needs most is a breath of fresh air. Maybe the Jazz could offer him that.

The Jazz will have plenty of options to upgrade their roster this offseason. The question is, will they pull the trigger on any big moves?
