Jazz stun Warriors in last-second comeback

This was one of the best games of the NBA season, let alone the Utah Jazz’s season. In one of the most shocking endings to a game in recent memory, the Jazz came back from a four-point deficit in 13.3 seconds.

Utah had a double-digit lead heading into the fourth quarter, but the Golden State Warriors battled back and were leading the game in the final minute.

Jordan Clarkson’s ejection allowed them to expand their lead, backing the Jazz into a corner. But then they stormed back when it looked like all hope was lost.

Kelly Olynyk stole the ball on an inbound play, but the Jazz got nothing from it. But after intentionally fouling the Warriors and them making one of two free throws, Nickeil Alexander-Walker drove to the hoop, and Golden State gave him an open layup.

However, instead of taking the shot, Alexander-Walker kicked the ball out to Malik Beasley, who drained a three, bringing the Jazz within one point.

Then, on Golden State’s next inbound play, the Jazz stole the ball again as Alexander-Walker stripped Jordan Poole. Utah sprinted to the other end, Beasley dumped the ball to Simone Fontecchio in the paint, and the Jazz got an easy dunk, putting them up 124-123.

Golden State heaved the ball to the other end on the inbound, as they had no timeouts left, but the Jazz deflected it, securing the win on December 7, 2022. Vivint Arena went nuts, and it was by far the best Jazz game of the season.
