3 Utah Jazz players who improved their trade value in 2023: Kris Dunn

In one of the more unexpected moves of the 2023 season, the Utah Jazz brought veteran guard Kris Dunn on board midway through the year. They inked him to a two-year deal, with the second season being non-guaranteed.

With how well Dunn played, it would be hard to imagine the Jazz letting him walk, as he became a crucial part of their rotation for the 22 games he appeared in.

In those 22 games, Dunn played 25.8 minutes per contest, including three starts. He averaged 13.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. Dunn shot 53.7% from the field and 47.2% from behind the three-point line.

Throughout the course of his career, Dunn was known as a defensive-minded guard. He has averaged 2.0 steals or more twice in his four full NBA seasons.

However, the biggest question mark when it’s come to Dunn has always been his three-point shot. Over the course of his career, he’s shot it at a 31.0% clip from behind the arc.

Although he only attempted 36 total threes during his time in Utah, the fact that he made 17 of them should be considered serious progress.

With how good his shot looked and the fact that he’s still only 29 years old, Dunn’s trade value is potentially higher than ever.
