6. Malik Beasley (LAL)
A player who was a part of the many Lakers’ mid-season deals, Malik Beasley has had a pretty immediate impact after being traded from the Jazz at the deadline. Since being dealt, Beasley has averaged 11.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.
While the stat line is a slight dip from his time with Utah, ever since he’s been shipped to LA, the Lakers have been winning more games, so I’m not sure that anyone’s too upset about it.
Beasley never got a chance to play a full season in Utah, but his services were able to get the Jazz another future first-round pick, this time from the Lakers. We’ll see if this pick develops into anything special in the future, or if the Jazz in the end decided to give up on yet another valuable player too early.
5. Grayson Allen (MIL)
The player we all know and love, Grayson Allen is back in the postseason. This is the fourth season Allen will make the playoffs in his short five-year career.
While Allen is a bit of a controversial topic, he’s shown how impactful of a role player he can be this season for Milwaukee. He’s started 70 games for the Bucks, averaging 10.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. Allen’s also been shooting efficiently as well, posting 44/39/90 splits throughout the regular season.
Allen’s shot-making ability and defensive tenacity should translate well into postseason play. After starting his career with the Utah Jazz in 2018, 2023 could be the year Grayson Allen wins his first NBA championship with the Bucks.
