After the Rudy Gobert trade, I provided an updated depth chart for all those fans who got lost in the craziness of the NBA off-season. After the Utah Jazz made moves to acquire Stanley Johnson and Talen Horton-Tucker and traded away star Donovan Mitchell, the roster is even more upside down than ever.

With new additions to the starting five like Lauri Markkanen and Collin Sexton, it’s safe to say the Jazz will be a new-look team, in much worse uniforms than in years past. Oh, and expect the on-court product to be equally as bad, just with more flair than those god-awful jerseys.

With a surprisingly deep roster, the Jazz are just without a star to tie everything together. Their starting five is well-rounded and their bench is awesome, they just do not have the superstar to put them over the top. Maybe in the upcoming draft, as they will surely land a top pick.

Point guard: Mike Conley, Ochai Agbaji, Jared Butler

Shooting Guard: Collin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson, Talen Horton-Tucker, Malik Beasley

Wing: Bojan Bogdanovic, Leonardo Bolmaro, Stanley Johnson

Power forward: Lauri Markkanen, Jarred Vanderbilt, Rudy Gay

Center: Walker Kessler, Udoka Azubike, Kofi Cockburn

I highly doubt Ochai Agbaji will start over Mike Conley, but I think veterans like Stanley Johnson, Malik Beasley, and Rudy Gay will be relegated to the end of the bench in favor of some younger guys.

It’s also worth noting that the Jazz are probably not done making moves. Beasley, Clarkson, Conley, Bogdanovic, and Rudy Gay all have some amount of trade value. As the current roster stands, this is the depth chart, but expect movement and guys like Johnny Juzang to move up from the G-League Stars as the season goes on.

Their current roster has a lot of scoring potential, and if Kessler can become a solid defender then the Jazz have their blueprint for the future. They need a star, but odds are they’ll find one with their seemingly endless new draft picks.
