Now that the dust has settled and there’s no longer a chance of a Kevin Durant trade, it seems that there’s potentially going to be a lot of action on the trade market in the coming weeks, and even if it’s not Donovan Mitchell, that certainly does involve the Utah Jazz. While all the speculation as of late has revolved around Donovan, people have begun to wonder about the rest of the Jazz lineup if Mitchell is traded, and if that happens, the Los Angeles Lakers become a perfect partner for Utah.

While appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, NBA Insider Shama Charania let everyone know that the Lakers were never a landing spot for Kyrie Irving, and that they’ll do anything to make their team better, and that anything seems to involve Bojan Bogdanovic and Patrick Beverley. The Lakers have two first-round picks to offer, as well as promising young guard Talen Horton-Tucker, and to get a deal done, they would also potentially send Russell Westbrook to Salt Lake City as a salary dump in order to be bought out.

With LeBron James seemingly on his last contract, paired with Anthony Davis, the Lakers don’t have much roster flexibility, and adding Patrick Beverley and Bojan to this rotation would certainly help the Lakers going forward, and the Jazz taking on Westbrook’s salary would also be a huge positive for them, allowing Utah to get back an extra asset in THT.

It’s unclear at this point whether the Lakers would give up all four of those assets to acquire Beverley and Bogdanovic, but if they want to compete right now in 2022, it’s a deal that makes perfect sense for both sides.

So what do you think? If the Jazz were to tear it all down, do you think two first-round picks, THT and Russ for Beverley and Bogdanovic is a good deal? Who else on this team would you move? Would you be happy if the Jazz went for a full rebuild? As always, let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.
