It’s been a month now since the news leaked that the Utah Jazz were listening to offers on 3-time All Star Donovan Mitchell, and as of late, it’s been all quiet on the news front, except for the fact that the New York Knicks were re-engaging the Jazz in talks, although they were very preliminary. At this point, the Knicks can still offer the best package, with up to 8 first-round picks that can be sent to Salt Lake City, but as of the late update with details on the trade, they weren’t willing to include 6 or more of them in a move.

Since that update, it’s come out that several teams are also after Spida’s services, and the only thing we can speculate is that a potential offer from the Knicks could still blow these away, or Mitchell would no longer be a member of the Utah Jazz. Now, with another update, Jazz reporters have come out and said that Danny Ainge has gotten several offers that he ‘likes an awful lot’, and once again, the only thing that that means is Utah may be holding out to see if they can squeeze as many picks out of Leon Rose and the Knicks as possible.

At this point, it’s very unclear where the offers are coming from, what they are and whether or not they actually beat an offer the Knicks can put together, but coming from people within the Jazz, it may just turn out to be trying to leverage a move. Either way, the feeling around the league is that something is going to happen soon, whether it be a big trade of No. 45, or the Jazz making moves to help their franchise star out, but it’s safe to say that this roster certainly isn’t complete.

So what do you think? Are the Jazz really content with other offers, or are they trying to get more from the Knicks? What do you want Mitchell to be traded for? Do you see him on Utah’s roster come training camp? As always, let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.
