3. Will Malik Beasley be in Utah for 2022/23?

While the Jazz have clearly made acquiring picks in trading their two stars a big priority, the team still needs young talent to potentially develop around their core in the future, and one player with such potential is Malik Beasley, a 25-year old with six years experience in the NBA. Unfortunately, Beasley hasn’t been able to find his footing with one team for very long, but if Utah do indeed move on from Spida and look to the future, Beasley is a player that could really step up and make his mark in 2022, even if it means just increasing his potential trade value for the deadline this season.

There’s been reports that Beasley could be added to a different trade to increase the value, so it’s not 100% certain that he stays on the team to begin this season, but if the Jazz do keep him around, they’ll find themselves a young scorer who, in a bigger role, should be able to improve all around. It’s tough to see how the Jazz see Beasley and his future role in Utah, but if they can get a haul of young, NBA ready players, plus picks from Miami, New York or another squad, Beasley could play a key role in that development, but with so much potential, it’s hard to see Utah moving him before this season begins, as he could play a great role in 2022.
