Utah Jazz: 10 best scorers in franchise history
By Nathan Smith
8. Al Jefferson – 18.5 PPG
Al Jefferson is one of the most consistent scorers at the power forward spot in recent NBA memory, and although he never took the next step into superstardom, he was more than a solid contributor for many teams, with 200 of his impressive career games coming with Utah over 3 seasons in the late 2010’s. In those three seasons with Utah, the double-double machine averaged 18.5 PPG and 9.5 RPG, his physical presence was always something that opposing teams had to account for, and a solid mid range jumper made him a genuine offensive threat.
During his brief stint in Utah, Jefferson shot a very impressive 50% from the field, and while he, among plenty of other impressive offensive stars of the past 20 seasons wasn’t able to help the Jazz attain any major playoff success, he will be remembered fondly by Jazz fans. When it comes to a deep bag with plenty of moves, Jefferson certainly wouldn’t be one of the first names that comes to mind, but alongside other solid players, he was able to play his role perfectly, becoming a very effective performer on each end of the floor.
