1. Adrian Dantley – 29.6 PPG

While many expected the man at No. 2 to be the best scorer in franchise history, it’s actually Adrian Dantley, who amassed almost 30 PPG in his seven seasons with the Utah Jazz. Many may remember Dantley from his time in Detroit, where he would help the Bad Boy Pistons taste NBA Championship glory, but from 1980-1986, Dantley was absolutely unstoppable for the Utah Jazz, and if he had only been around during the time of Stockton and Malone, there’s a good chance that this team could have toppled MJ and the unbeatable Bulls.

His final career PPG record with Utah ended at 29.6, but for four consecutive seasons, between 1981 and 1984, Dantley averaged over 30 PPG, en route to two scoring titles with an incredible 52% from the field, making this one of the most impressive stretches for a scorer in NBA history. He didn’t lead the Jazz to the team success that Malone and Stockton did, so wider NBA fans will always remember those names as synonymous with success in Utah, but in his brief seven year stretch in Salt Lake City, Dantley captured the hearts of Jazz fans, and will always be remembered as one of the franchise’s best ever players.
