2. The Utah Jazz had two very quiet debuts

Utah Jazz fans have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of former UCLA star Johnny Juzang, and after missing Salt Lake City Summer League, the Jazz’s top un-drafted free agent has finally made his first appearance with the Jazz. Along with Johnny, Leandro Bolmaro, a former first round pick acquired in the Rudy Gobert trade also made his Jazz debut, with both young men logging over 20 minutes in the victory.

Unfortunately, neither man stood out in this game, and while there’s definitely no reason for Jazz fans to be worried, it would have been good to see if either one could step up and make a name for themselves under such a bright spotlight. They only managed eight points between them, but other aspects of their game showed why both have great potential, and if the Jazz can be patient with their development, we may be looking at future Utah Jazz role players.

Game two will give both a chance for another big game under the bright Las Vegas lights, and with improved chemistry among the team, we will have to wait and see whether either can catch fire, and win themselves a Utah Jazz roster spot for the 2022/23 season.
