1. Utah Jazz fans should be watching closely for Jared Butler

Jared Butler is the player on this Summer League squad with the most experience as a member of the Utah Jazz, as he competed in 42 games for the team in 2021/22, and if he can continue to improve and put up numbers in Summer League, there may be an expanded role for him on the Jazz squad going forward. Butler was a second round pick of the Jazz a season ago, after a standout NCAA tournament, and even in his incredibly limited time in the NBA so far, he has shown flashes of great potential.

At Baylor, Butler improved in each of his three seasons, and was named Most Outstanding Player in the 2021 NCAA Tournament, proving that he has the ability to step up against tough competition with the lights on bright, and if he can do that again in Summer League, there may be consistent minutes for him to be had off the bench.

Given his experience at the next level, it’s clear that Butler will be leading the charge for this Summer League squad, and if he can prove to be the competent leader and scorer that many believe he can be, you could be looking at an incredibly valuable piece going forward for this Jazz team.
