3. Utah Jazz fans should pay extra close attention to Johnny Juzang

The Jazz may have acquired a ransom of draft picks in the Rudy Gobert trade to Minnesota, but they didn’t have a selection in the 2022 NBA Draft. Fortunately for them, they may have taken one of, if not the best un-drafted players available in former UCLA standout, Johnny Juzang. In two seasons in a Bruins uniform, the young shooting guard averaged 16 ppg, and showed that he could score on all three levels, and if he had of declared for the draft after a star making performance in the 2021 NCAA tournament, he may have been a first round draft pick.

While his going back to college for one more season may have cost hearing his name on draft night, Juzang is still as talented as he ever was, and with a chance to make the Jazz roster in 2022, he has promised to work as hard as he can to make that happen.

Unfortunately, Johnny was involved in a car accident a few days ago, and while no injury long-term was sustained, he is being held out of practice for a few days ahead of Salt Lake City Summer League. It looks like he’ll be ready to go by the time the Utah Jazz head to Las Vegas at the latest, and when he does step foot on the court, Jazz fans should be prepared for an electric scorer that will give this team plenty of energy and intensity, something that’s going to be needed on the NBA squad in 2022.
