2. Who can the Jazz target to add some height to the lineup?

While incredibly talented in different ways, this Jazz starting lineup has some severe limitations, and plenty of those stem from a lack of size, with the exception of the 7’2″ Rudy Gobert, who has documented limitations of his own. Royce O’Neale and Bojan Bogdanovic are both undersized at 6’4″ and 6’6″ respectively, and if the Jazz do plan on moving one of their big stars, they’ll need to use one of those deals to add some serious size in both forward positions.

The Jazz shouldn’t be giving up talent just to add height, but with so many talented names out there, there’s no reason for the forward position to not have two players that can match up from a height perspective. All of this depends on what they do with Gobert/Mitchell, but if there’s a trade available or a free agent the Jazz identify that will help them fill both the talent and height gap in their starting lineup, they need to be aggressive, as a fundamental shift in the lineup like this could pay off big time.

If the Jazz are to move the 7’2″ Frenchman to facilitate this, they’ll need to target more defensive minded players to this squad, whether through free agency or as part of a monster trade. This off-season is shaping up to be a wild one, but if Ainge plays it smart and uses his patience, they can fill this lineup with the length that will help them succeed on both ends of the floor when it matters most.
