3. Could other Jazz players be on the trading block?

All the recent talk has been about Mitchell and Gobert, but if the Jazz believe that this roster needs a genuine overhaul, there could be plenty of trade activity coming up in Salt Lake City. Jordan Clarkson is the perfect sixth man for this team, but in reality, anyone else (except for whichever of Mitchell/Gobert Utah see as untouchable) could be available.

Trade packages with Gobert could involve the likes of Royce O’Neale or Mike Conley, or the Jazz could look to move some of their bigger name role players in separate deals. But either way, if one of the big dominoes fall, don’t be surprised if at least one other domino falls with it. Jordan Clarkson is the perfect player off the bench for this squad, but if the value is high enough, even he could potentially be on the move, and while unlikely, there’s a chance that this team in 2022/23 looks completely different to the team that bowed out to Dallas in the first round, with the exception of the teams biggest star, Donovan Mitchell.

A full overhaul shouldn’t be expected at this point, but one or two new pieces to this lineup can change the whole outlook on a franchise, so look for the Jazz to be aggressive in upgrading a few positions over the coming weeks.
