Darryl Morsell – Marquette guard

If you haven’t noticed a theme yet with the Summer League squad the Jazz are currently building, it seems to be experienced, productive college players that improved their numbers across the board throughout their careers, and that’s something that Marquette’s Darryl Morsell also has. While he doesn’t project to be as good a shooter from beyond the arc as Williams and Childs, Morsell has an impressive game, based on his athleticism and scoring ability from two, which allowed him to average 13 points a game in his fifth season at Marquette.

Morsell doesn’t have one overwhelming strength, but most importantly, he doesn’t have an overwhelming weakness either, and could play a big part in a Summer League run for the Jazz in 2022. He doesn’t project as a high-potential player at the next level like some of the other players Utah have already added for Summer League, but there’s no reason that he can’t impress at Summer League and continue grinding in professional basketball, it’s just less likely that he will have a shot at the NBA in the near future.
