It’s a sad day for the Utah Jazz when they aren’t favored to beat this version of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Of course, neither squad is at full strength. Without spoiling the (always anticipated) injury report, the Jazz (45-30) might be a little light at the center position this evening.
Meanwhile, the Clippers (36-39) have been decimated by injuries all season. Kawhi Leonard has missed the entire season, and Paul George has been out for most of it. Even Norm Powell is resting a foot injury tonight.
All of which makes WynnBet’s odds a little bit depressing here.
Utah Jazz vs Los Angeles Clippers Odds Tonight
According to WynnBet, there is no favorite tonight. Both teams are -110 on the money line.
The over/under is presently at 217.0 points.
Utah Jazz Starting Lineup
Rudy Gobert is listed as day-to-day, as is new acquisition Greg Monroe. Hassan Whiteside is out. With that in mind, we’ll lean conservative and predict a starting group of Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Royce O’Neale, Bojan Bogdanovic and Udoka Azubuike for this one.
Utah Jazz Injury Report
Outside of the big men, the Jazz look to have a clean slate tonight. Of note, Bojan Bogdanovic looks primed to make his return. We’ll see if he can be the difference maker in this one.
Utah Jazz vs Los Angeles Clippers Prediction
It feels unethical to predict a Utah Jazz win at this point. They’ve lost four consecutive games, including some that they really ought to have handled their business in.
We’re doing it anyway. The Clippers are a scrappy opponent. They’re probably in a better position than they ought to be in light of their injury concerns. That’s partly due to elite coaching, and partly due to a roster full of players who just don’t like to lose.
They should still be outmatched by the Jazz tonight. If Gobert is available, this one could be one-sided. However, even in his absence the Jazz should be able to survive with Azubuike manning the middle.
Prediction: Jazz 114, Clippers 108
