Utah Jazz dud: Juancho Hernangomez
In case you’re new here, there are two things you should know. We’ve questioned the efficacy of Jordan Clarkson multiple times, and we didn’t love what the Utah Jazz did at the deadline.
One thing they did was acquire Juancho Hernangomez. With Bojan Bogdanovic and Danuel House Jr. on the shelf last night, Juancho got his big break.
His final line of 2 points on 0/3 shooting from the field and 2/4 shooting from the freethrow line did little to inspire confidence in the Jazz’s deadline. He did grab 5 rebounds. Forgive us if we don’t care.
At least Nickeil Alexander-Walker showed what he was made of. Juancho Hernangomez is a third-string NBA player. Any night that he plays 23 minutes, it’s out of desperation.
The Jazz should hope they don’t find themselves in that situation regularly.
Otherwise, there were only positives to take from last night’s game. The Jazz put a high end opponent swiftly down without two of their best wings. It was one of their best victories of the year.
