The Utah Jazz square off with the Chicago Bulls in tonight’s action. It’ll be the second consecutive game that sees the Jazz play an Eastern Conference contender.

In their last contest, the Jazz (42-26) gave the defending champions a run for their money. They shot poorly vs the Milwaukee Bucks, and still only lost by 6.

The Bulls (41-27) aren’t quite as imposing as the Bucks, but they’re still a difficult out. As of this moment, it’s hard to know what version of the Bulls the Jazz will be seeing. Zach LaVine is listed as probable, while Lonzo Ball is altogether out.

Utah Jazz vs Chicago Bulls Odds Tonight

Utah Jazz Starting Lineup

Bojan Bogdanovic is sitting this one out with a calf strain. Quin Snyder will likely roll out a lineup of Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Royce O’Neale, Rudy Gay and Rudy Gobert to start this contest.

Utah Jazz Injury Report

Besides Bogdanovic, Trent Forrest is listed as questionable with a wrist injury, Udoka Azubuike has been ruled out with an ankle injury, and Danuel House Jr. has been ruled out with a knee injury.

Utah Jazz vs Chicago Bulls Prediction

There are a lot of factors to consider in this one. Most of them are injuries.

If Zach Lavine doesn’t suit up, the Jazz should walk away with an easy victory tonight. True, the Bulls still roster DeMar DeRozan. He’s having a remarkable season. Nikola Vucevic is still a borderline All-Star contributor as well. They still don’t project as having enough to overcome the Jazz.

On the other hand, this is anyone’s contest with Lavine in the mix. The Jazz are compromised by the absences of both Bogdanovic and O’Neale. Rudy Gay is a valuable reserve, but he’s not as reliable a three-point threat or as mobile a wing as either of the two. His presence in the starting lineup forces Snyder to modify his game plan.

With LaVine listed as probable, we’re picking a Bulls win. The Jazz’s perimeter defense is compromised with the relatively slow-footed Gay at the 4 spot, and the Bulls are stacked with perimeter scorers.

Still, we’re not confident. If you’ve got an appetite for risk, this is a good game to bet against WynnBet on. Otherwise, we’d recommend staying away from it.

Prediction: Bulls 117, Jazz 114
