Utah Jazz dud: Royce O’Neale

Sometimes, the dud section is hard to write. Oftentimes, we’re forced to give the “nothing to see here” disclaimer.

It applies in the case of last night. Royce O’Neale gave his usual defensive effort, he just couldn’t hit his shots.

O’Neale was 2/8 from the field. All of those attempts were 3 pointers. That was the entirety of his offensive contribution. He also didn’t register a steal, which he generally does.

We do not enjoy this. We love Royce O’Neale here. He plays with tremendous effort and a skyhigh defensive IQ. It’s really not a big deal (we promise!) but he just wasn’t very impactful in last night’s contest.

That feels like enough negativity when the Utah Jazz have won 3 consecutive games. If they can carry that momentum into a win over the Warriors tomorrow, they’ll be making a tremendous statement.
