Utah Jazz historians may be inclined to turn a watchful eye to the NBA’s upcoming 75th anniversary team. The league will be unveiling the top 75 players in NBA history in honor of its anniversary. The big reveal will take place across two episodes of TNT’s NBA Tip-Off Presented by CarMax and ESPN’s NBA Today on October 19th and 21st.
What current and former Utah Jazz players merit inclusion in the NBA’s all-time top 75?
There are a pair of former Jazzmen who will obviously make the cut. Otherwise, a cast of former and current Jazz players have a chance at being named one of the NBA’s top 75 all-time performers. Obviously, it’s an esteemed position. There will be several multiple time All-Stars that will not be included among the league’s upper crust.
There will be difficult decisions to make, and feelings may get hurt. Outside of arguably the best duo in NBA history, there may not be another former or active member of the Utah Jazz who is assured a placement on the list.
However, there are several who will definitely merit consideration. In this article, we’re only considering players that made a meaningful contribution to the Jazz. For example, Gail Goodrich spent several seasons at the end of his career as a member of the New Orleans Jazz, and he’s likely to be named on this list. He’s not included here: he’ll be remembered as a Los Angeles Laker.
