Utah Jazz: Can they author a dominant performance?

As previously mentioned, the Jazz project as one of the best teams in the National Basketball Association, whereas the Thunder may project as the worst. Nonetheless, no outcome in the NBA is predetermined, and this one is no exception. Can the Utah Jazz complete a blowout victory in their season opener against the Thunder?

The best player on the Oklahoma City Thunder is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He’s likely to turn in an outstanding performance, by virtue of the fact that someone on this Thunder team has to generate stats if nothing else. The question is whether the talented Canadian jumbo guard can do enough to drag his team to victory.

The answer is a resounding “probably not”. The Utah Jazz are a deep, veteran-laden outfit with NBA Championship aspirations. They are not looking to drop their season opener to a team that seems to be outwardly tanking for lottery luck. It would be a surprise if they dropped this contest, but Jazz fans should look for their team to seek out a victory by at least 15 points vs this young Oklahoma City Thunder squad.

In some ways, the Utah Jazz could not have drawn a better matchup for their season opener. In all likelihood, this should be an easy W that gives the team some momentum heading into the year. However, they should not take these Thunder, or any NBA team, lightly.
