We’ll begin this article by acknowledging the obvious: the Utah Jazz aren’t really in the market for a superstar. As an already-contending, veteran-heavy outfit, the Jazz are cap-strapped, short on prospects and draft capital, and already satisfied with the star players they do roster.

Still, just because the squad is unlikely to roster another superstar any time soon doesn’t mean they wouldn’t love to.

Which NBA superstars fit with the Utah Jazz?

Here, we’ll be factoring fit with the current roster into our assessment of which superstar players the Utah Jazz would love to acquire. With that established, we’re assuming that Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert are fixtures on this roster. In other words, we won’t have the Jazz pursuing any centers, and we’d prefer any guards discussed in this exercise to fit nicely with Spida.

Otherwise, nobody is off-limits. We don’t care if there aren’t trade rumors surrounding a player. We don’t care if they’re happy on a long-term deal. We don’t care if they’d probably prefer to live in sunny Los Angeles or bustling New York.

After all, this is about superstars the Utah Jazz would love to acquire someday, not superstars they’re likely to. Fans in Salt Lake City might break into a spontaneous parade if their team was able to acquire any of the following three superstar players.
