One funnyman was in a pickup game with Utah Jazz sixth man Jordan Clarkson.

At a pro run this week that included Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson plus several other well-known NBA players, Brooklyn-born actor and filmmaker Adam Sandler was splashing buckets. OK, perhaps that is a bit of an exaggeration. However, the noted hoops aficionado did drain a baseline jumper.

No, despite a poor defensive reputation, Clarkson does not appear to be the guy responsible for allowing such a wide-open look from the 5-foot-10, average-shape 54-year-old:

Why was Adam Sandler in the same gym as Utah Jazz gem Jordan Clarkson?

According to We Got This Covered reporter Ryan Galloway, Adam Sandler is currently working on a basketball comedy flick for Netflix called Hustle (no announced release date yet). And several of the NBA players in the above video are reportedly going to be in the film.

As for now, though, there’s no telling if Clarkson will be among those making an appearance.

Speaking of Clarkson, the above highlights contain only one “Flame Thrower” score: a turnaround fadeaway from the corner with a hand in his face. But the following clips from some other recent pickup action confirm the Jazz weapon is experiencing no issues whatsoever in keeping his fire burning this summer:

Last season, which was Clarkson’s seventh in the league and second with the Utah Jazz, the former second-round pick averaged a career-high 18.4 points to go along with 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

Jordan Clarkson’s Sixth Man of the Year role was a critical ingredient to a 2020-21 Utah squad that finished atop the league standings in the regular season. Therefore, it sure seems like a safe bet that his spot in Quin Snyder’s primary rotation will mirror the last go-round.
