Utah Jazz: The case for and against trading Rudy Gobert

The case against trading Rudy Gobert: Running it back safest option
The Jazz weren’t bad last year. In fact, some might call their run in the bubble triumphant considering their two best players were on the verge of hating each other according to the wording of some reports earlier this season.
The Jazz did blow a 3-1 lead in the first round of the postseason, but you can’t exactly fault a team for a blown performance in 2020. Times were and are tough.
In the Jazz as they are constructed now, you know what you’re getting. Heck, in Rudy Gobert alone you know what you’re getting, and he’s been consistent in most facets of his game for several seasons now.
Going into next season where every game matters more with fewer games on the schedule and a quick training camp turnaround, running it back seems safest.
Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert might not be best friends. That’s fine. As long as they can find a symbiotic relationship on the court, they’ll be fine.
Reliability and consistency in 2020-21 will be an advantage.
What do you think? Would you like the Jazz to trade Rudy Gobert?
