Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell will have his second signature shoe, the D.O.N Issue #2, releasing on July 15th for the price of $100.

There has been a lot of good players to wear a Utah Jazz jersey. Karl Malone, John Stockton, Adrian Dantley, the list goes on… Donovan Mitchell, though, is the only player in franchise history to have his own signature shoe.

The D.O.N Issue #1 released back on July 1st, and ended up being a success. The debut blue/red colorway? Nice. The pink venom colorway? Incredible. The Utah Jazz mountain colorway? Spectacular. Mitchell’s first sig offered an attractive silhouette to go with multiple different colorways.

Many Utah Jazz fans that I have had the privilege to get to know on Twitter have already built up a seriously impressive collection of D.O.N’s. The state of Utah went crazy for these bad boys.

On July 15th, the D.O.N Issue #2 will release, according to Step Back Kicks on Instagram. This comes from one of the more reliable pages when it comes to leaks. The shoe will go for $100, just like the first one did. This is an incredibly cheap price for a signature shoe.

Be sure to give them a follow, Utah Jazz fans! On top of Mitchell’s release date, they have also leaked the release date for the Dame 7’s and Harden Vol. 5. Imagine that three-headed Adidas dragon on a team together. Sheesh.

We’ve already seen leaks of the D.O.N Issue #2, and I’ve gotta say, I’m just not a fan. Basketball shoes do end up growing on you, but aesthetically, this is a downgrade to me. Take a look for yourself:

When it comes to a basketball shoe, I’m looking more towards performance. Yeah, I like a good looking shoe, but if that shoe doesn’t perform well on the hardwood, it’s not for me. The D.O.N Issue #1 wasn’t the best performer, so let’s hope this is an upgrade.

What are your initial thoughts of the shoe? You can let me know on Twitter (@ZP12Hoops). Being the sneakerhead that I am, I’m always down to chat about kicks, especially when it comes to a Utah Jazz player.

Save up your money, Utah Jazz fans. I have a feeling that the D.O.N Issue #2 will be just as popular as the D.O.N Issue #1. It’s fun having a player on your team with a signature shoe, huh?
