Donovan shows out against the stars in Los Angeles

Right after defeating the Trail Blazers thanks to Gobert’s clutch block, Donovan Mitchell and the Jazz were off to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers, one of the best teams in the league.

With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both in the lineup this time around, most fans were feeling nervous about this game. The Jazz showed that they turned a corner, though, beating the Clippers by 13, led by All-Star Donovan Mitchell.

Mitchell was the best player on the court that night, finishing with 30 points, seven rebounds and nine assists on 13-23 shooting. The Clippers kept it close all night long, but Mitchell and the Jazz exploded in the final minutes of this one.

He was hitting from the perimeter, moving around everywhere defensively and flying high in the air dunking the ball. It was a phenomenal performance from Mitchell on the road against one of the best the NBA has to offer.

His step-back three-pointer (0:30) to end the first half was special. His pump fake on Kawhi, one of the best defenders in the league, and slam (1:25) was explosive. His pull-up jumper on Paul George (1:51) was cool, calm and collected.

Mitchell was in his bag of tricks that night and led the Jazz to their second consecutive victory. It’s one of my personal favorite performances from this season.
