Mitchell duels Ingram with 10-game winning streak on the line

Fresh off acquiring Jordan Clarkson from the Cavaliers, the Utah Jazz quickly racked up 10 consecutive wins, led by, of course, the duo of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.

They walked into the Smoothie King Center on January 16th seeking an 11th straight win, and though they didn’t get that win, we did get to see an awesome back-and-forth between two future All-Stars in Donovan Mitchell and Brandon Ingram.

In this overtime thriller, Mitchell ended up with 46 points, tying his career-high. He shot 16-34 from the field and 7-15 from deep. The 23 year old also added six rebounds, two assists and two steals in the process.

On the other side, Ingram finished up with a career-high of 49 points. He was 15-25 from the field and 3-8 from outside. He added eight rebounds and six assists in the Pelicans’ win.

Seeing two of the leagues youngest stars go head-to-head, trading big shots and will their respective teams to a win was simply amazing. Performances like this is why both Mitchell and Ingram are in the All-Star game.

This was one of the best games of the season thus far, and probably Donovan’s best individual performance of the season, even though it came in a loss.
