2020 NBA All-Star Mock Draft: Rematch between Utah Jazz’s Gobert and Mitchell?
Team LeBron (No. 5) – Trae Young
Many fans, including myself were upset to see Trae Young get voted in as a starter due to his teams poor record. Regardless, he’s here and he has certainly played like an All-Star this season. He’ll give Team LeBron another ball handling option in the starting unit.
In his second season, Young is averaging an incredible 29.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 9.0 assists. Like I mentioned, I wish his team had more success, but he’s undoubtedly been impressive and will shine in a game like this.
Young will be all over during All-Star weekend, competing in the Three-Point Contest and Rising Stars Challenge, as well as the All-Star game.
Team Giannis (No. 6) – Joel Embiid
It’s been a weird season for Joel Embiid and his Philadelphia 76ers. I thought they would be the best team in the East this season, but poor roster construction has them disappointing many around the league.
Embiid, arguably the best center in the game, is averaging 23.1 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He’s had some health issues, but he’s still an easy pick for the All-Star game. He was on Team Giannis last year, and there’s a good chance he’ll be back with the Greek Freak again this year.
