Overall

Tony Bradley has been able to get by the past 20 games during Utah’s surge of winning. That’s also mainly been against sub par competition in the months of December and January, so it’s hard to put much value into that.

I’m pleased with his development on both ends of the ball, but when the Jazz are in position to grab the second seed and make a run at the Western Conference Finals, there is no time for patience developing a player like Bradley.

When the Utah Jazz front office picked up Bradley’s option last fall, they were betting on a young 21 year old to develop into a serviceable NBA player. He’s done that, and in a year where the Jazz are without Derrick Favors the backup center depth needs to squeeze every bit of good basketball out of Tony Bradley and Ed Davis.

Bradley has given us good play in flashes, and stringing that together more consistently will be the key to him keeping his spot in the rotation the remainder of the season. The lack of consistency is why I believe the Jazz should look on the trade and buyout market for an upgrade at the backup center position.

.Unless he can make a big statement in the next two weeks before the trade deadline, expect the Jazz to be actively looking for some help in the frontcourt.
