There were three prevalent themes in particular at Utah Jazz Media Day that should have fans of the SLC squad feeling quite thrilled for the upcoming year.

NBA Media Days are always an exciting time. Each team comes in with a newfound optimism at the prospect of a clean slate and a brand new season where everyone starts out 0-0 once again. The possibilities seem endless, the anticipation is almost tangible and the expectations are high.

By about December or so, the former optimism of several teams will start to wane. Despite some optimistic answers and cliche quotes during preseason, not every team will truly be on the path to greatness, and reality will prove to be a tough pill to swallow for many teams, even those that expressed the utmost confidence in their abilities during media days.

However, this time around, the sentiment around the Utah Jazz Media Day didn’t seem like one that was mere talk. This squad, the execs and coaches seemed absolute determined in their cause and serious in their belief about the possibilities of an amazing season ahead. The team made it clear that they believe firmly in themselves and that they can contend at the highest level.

As such, there were three specific themes that stood out to me from Utah Jazz Media Day – 3 C’s, if you will – that should have the Utah faithful feeling hopeful and giddy about the 2019-20 campaign that lies ahead.
