The ‘most intriguing individual matchup’ series continues with a look at how the Utah Jazz will compare to some of the top opposing players in the Pacific Division.

With the commencement of the 2019-20 Utah Jazz season quickly drawing near as Jazz Media Day will take place on Monday and the first preseason game is slated for the following Saturday, we’re rapidly entering exciting times for Jazz fans. The anticipation for this upcoming season is at an all-time high as an already stout Utah team made some incredible additions this summer that have many believing they’ll be a top team in the West.

But the Jazz are far from the only ones who got better. Several teams, particularly in the loaded Western Conference, have improved themselves dramatically, which will make for entertaining contest after entertaining contest all season long.

As we prepare for the quickly approaching season and are still relying on speculation rather than fact, I’ve decided to break down which individual player matchup will be the most intriguing on every team the Jazz will face. I already started things off with the Northwest Division earlier in the week. Today, we’re staying in the West but sliding over to the daunting Pacific Division.

This may very well be the most formidable division in the conference thanks to the incredible offseason of the Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers. And, sure, the Golden State Warriors took a step back from a year ago, but they’re still a formidable squad and the Sacramento Kings are a fun, rising group. The Phoenix Suns are the weakest link of the bunch, but even they have a shot to be more competitive next season.

Therefore, expect a lot of riveting games between the Jazz and these Pacific Division foes, particularly when looking at the following individual matchups.
