Both of Utah’s two-way players from the ’18-19 season have been hard at work this summer, trying to make an impression on decision-makers around the league.

After appearing in 14 games for the Jazz last season — and starring for the team’s G-League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars — Long signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers for their NBA Summer League run. Since then, he’s made a strong push for a two-way deal with the Cavs.

On Wednesday, he dropped 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting with three triples against the New Orleans Pelicans’ outfit in Las Vegas. Overall, he’s logged a 16-5-5 line during summer league play.

Cavanaugh, meanwhile, joined the New York Knicks for the summer. His efforts have been workmanlike thus far — he’s averaging eight points and four boards per contest — however, he should still be on the radar of NBA teams as a floor-spacing big man.

Cavanaugh hit on 41 percent of his 3-point attempts with the Stars last season.
