Rodney Hood

Rodney Hood, like Enes Kanter, ended this past season with the Portland Trail Blazers. I find it unlikely that Hood will re-sign with Portland due to financial reasons. They also just acquired Kent Bazemore via trade as insurance, in case Hood does in fact leave the team.

I haven’t heard about many teams that have expressed interest in Hood, although I’m sure he’ll have many suitors. I’m sure LeBron James wouldn’t mind being his teammate again, this time in Los Angeles, but I don’t think Hood would be cool with signing on for the minimum. That’s what he’d have to do if the Lakers sign another max-contract player.

I honestly don’t know where he’ll end up, but I think Hood…

Prediction: Won’t stay with the Portland Trail Blazers

Trey Burke

Trey Burke finished this past season as a member of the Dallas Mavericks, after being traded by the New York Knicks. The former Jazzman has worked his way back into the NBA, after playing in the G-League for a lot of the 2017-18 season.

Predicting where Burke ends up will be much harder, considering he won’t be a hot commodity. He has shown that he can be a solid backup point guard, though. Considering the Mavericks have Rookie of the Year Luka Doncic, and Jalen Brunson, I think Burke will…

Prediction: Not stay with the Dallas Mavericks

George Hill

George Hill had a really good one season in Utah. Since then, he’s bounced around. It was nice to see him playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, a serious contender in the Eastern Conference.

Hill was waived by the Bucks on Friday, though. However, there’s mutual interest in bringing him back at a cheaper price. Hill was waived because his contract only had a partial guarantee.

He’s getting up there in age (33), but Hill will have many teams lining up for his services. He can still play excellent defense and knock down three-pointers. I think Hill will…

Prediction: Re-sign with the Milwaukee Bucks

Jazz fans are, rightfully so, excited about next year’s team. It’ll be interesting to see what the Jazz do in free agency. But we also do wish the former Jazzmen, listed and not listed, all the best in the next chapter of their professional basketball career. Especially Alec Burks. I hope he finds a home. Miss you, AB.
