Utah Jazz: 15 realistic free agency options post-Conley trade

Glenn Robinson III (Team Option)
“Failure to launch” is a phrase that immediately comes to mind when I think of Glenn Robinson III, which is ironic given the fact that he’s a former Slam Dunk Contest champion. Nevertheless, it fits the bill.
The former Michigan standout has moved from team to team, missed significant time with multiple injuries and failed to live up to his potential when he has gotten a chance. Last year, Dwane Casey gave him a shot with the Detroit Pistons’ starting five, for example — he responded by shooting 36 percent from the field and 29 percent from deep.
As a result, the Pistons aren’t expected to pick up his $4.3 million option for next season.
This could provide the Jazz an opportunity to pick up a plus athlete and lengthy defender who could blossom into a steady rotation player and real deep threat under Jazz developmental. Over his three years in Indy, he knocked down nearly 40 percent of his triples, albeit on limited attempts.
He’s probably the only player in this list who you’d be projecting to get significantly better, he matches the team’s timeline and you may be able to get him at a near minimum deal, too.
