Anthony Tolliver

You’ve undoubtedly noticed some themes as we’ve explored some of the players the Jazz could realistically target in free agency. Aside from the fact that I’ve zeroed in on wings and big men, some common threads with all of these players include experience and floor-stretching ability.

In other words, I’m describing Anthony Tolliver.

Tolliver is another player whose NBA journey has been a wild ride; he’s played with nine different teams during his decade in the Association. But he continues to get picked up because he’s low-key been one of the league’s best floor-spacing bigs for the last six years.

A career 38-percent 3-point shooter, Tolliver took a career-high 83 percent of his shots from deep last season. He does the majority of his damage from above the break, which is definitely a boon in a day and age where you’re trying to force guys like Derrick Favors into becoming corner three shooters.

He’s a legitimate catch-and-shoot specialist, and maybe the ideal back-up 4/5. It may not be Utah, but he’ll be spreading things out somewhere next season.
