The first round of the NBA Playoffs is just about set to get underway! The Utah Jazz vs. Houston Rockets series appears to be a thriller as do several others.

It’s finally here! The most wonderful time of the year! No, Christmas is still eight months away, I’m referring to the real most wonderful time of the year: the NBA Playoffs.

The Utah Jazz will make their third straight appearance as the fifth seed in the Western Conference as they look to pull off a first-round upset once again. It’s not going to be easy as they face their toughest four-seed opponent yet in the daunting Houston Rockets, the selfsame team that knocked them out of postseason contention a season ago.

Even disregarding my Jazz bias, I believe the Jazz-Rockets series has the potential to be one of the most intriguing of the first round. But there are plenty of others that I’m giddy with excitement about as well. In all, it should be a thrilling first round with exciting contests across the board.

And in preparation for what should be an exhilarating opening slate, I’m here to give my analysis and predictions for each first-round matchup in both the Eastern and Western Conferences. Strap in, Jazz and NBA fans, and join me as I dive into each first-round series of the 2019 NBA Playoffs!
