P.J. Washington
P.J. Washington has benefited tremendously from returning to Kentucky for his Sophomore season. He’s improved as a player and is now in prime position to be drafted, if he decides to enter the 2019 NBA Draft.
Washington has a lot going for him. He’s not skin and bones – he won’t enter the league and get pushed around. He can also score from inside and out. He’s shooting 55.3 percent from inside the three-point line, and 44.8 percent from outside the line. Those are impressive shooting numbers.
The second year forward has also improved his overall statistics drastically. He went from averaging 10.8 points and 5.7 rebounds as a Freshman to averaging 15 points and 7.9 rebounds as a Sophomore. He’s a player that’s constantly getting better and working on his game.
His draft stock could go anywhere. I can see him being a lock for the 1st round, even though some mock drafts currently project him as a 2nd round pick. Nonetheless, he’s a guy Utah should look at.
So, there you have it. The 2019 NBA Draft will be fun, especially if the Jazz acquire a player the fans have been dying for: a stretch four. Everyone on this list is capable of knocking down threes, which is a necessity in today’s NBA.
