Utah Jazz: Four power forward options in the 2019 NBA Draft

Eric Paschall

Paschall will be NBA bound in June. He’s a Senior at Villanova after starting his collegiate career at Fordham. He’s a bit under-sized for an old school power forward, but in today’s game, I view him as a full-time power forward. He can play other positions, of course, but he’ll primarily play the four. I can see him getting minutes at small forward and center, too.

Standing at 6-feet-9-inches with an intimidating 255 pound body, Paschall is not one to be messed with. He actually reminds me of Jae Crowder, but a larger version. He is tough, fearless, physical and he can shoot it. Boy, can he shoot it. His shot is beautiful and it has become a very effective part of his game. He’s shooting 37 percent from three this season.

Another good thing about Paschall is that he’s a winner. He won a National Championship with Villanova last year, and will have another chance to win one within the next month. He does all the little things needed to win ball games, which is why he’s stuffing the stat-sheet by averaging 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal per game.

A lot of mock drafts have Paschall being selected early in the 2nd round, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s a 1st round pick come June. I think he can fall into the mold of Draymond Green. He’s a versatile player that works hard, can shoot it and defend. If I’m the Jazz, or any of the 30 teams in the league, I’m interested.
